“Thinking outside the rock”

To address green growth, climate change, food security and water in pacific island countries we need to step away from popular belief in order to understand the diversity within this small group of countries, or “rocks” as they like to call themselves.

One of the main problems related to food sources in pacific countries is their vulnerability to physical, environmental, social and economic changes, facts which impede access, stability, availability and utilization of food. In addition, climate change is a usual hazard and it´s been having serious consequences in the pacific environment.
